WATERJET CUTTING

remarc-water-jet-cutting

Waterjet cutting is the leading way to cut 2 dimensional designs out of virtually any material you can imagine. Our OMAX waterjet machine is fully loaded with the largest cutting envelope (60” x 120”) in Northern Nevada as well as the only tilt-a-jet head in the area. The tilt-a-jet head uses computer controlled tilt (up to 9 degrees) to automatically adjust while cutting so that taper is nearly eliminated. This removes post machining operations because parts coming off our machine are perpendicular to within thousandths of an inch. This, along with our diligent and innovative waterjet team, allows us to cut incredibly accurate designs out of a wide range of materials, sizes, and thicknesses.

Benefits of Waterjet Cutting

  • One of the most cost effective cutting options
  • Shapes can be nested tightly for optimal material utilization
  • Cold cutting means no heat affected zones that come with laser, plasma, or torch cutting
  • Doesn’t add any stress to the material
  • Leaves a satin smooth finish which reduces secondary operations
  • Cutting process is clean
  • Narrow kerf (0.030″) removes only a small amount of material.
  • Switching between high production, and single piece production is very easy.
  • Thin sheets can be stacked for higher production
  • Can be programmed using 5 different cut qualities. Quality 1 being the fastest and cheapest up to a quality 5 for maximum precision.
